[Guayo]

Hola a todos, encontré una serie de libros que contienen escritos medievales, la mayoría son pequeñas cartas o fragmentos de libros que son condensados para que alcancen en un solo libro, el primero es The Portable Medieval Reader,(El lector medieval portable) otro es The Medieval Reader también una obra de recopilación por Norman F Cantor, y The World of El Cid: Chronicles of the Spanish Reconquest (Manchester Medieval Sources), (El mundo del Cid, crónicas de la Reconquistas Española), estoy pensado en un buen regalo de navidad pero quería saber si hay alguna obra parecida en castellano, esencialmente son libros donde se unen diferentes manuscritos que son difíciles de conseguir para todos los que no somos académicos o especialistas en este periodo. Cualquier comentario o recomendación siempre serán bienvenidos.

Recientemente publicado, muy poca cosa. "Historias Asturianas de hace más de 1.000 años" es imposible de encontrar.

Algo tan exhaustivo, no sabría decir. Ahora mismo estoy leyendo a Froissart y su cronica, pero estamos en lo mismo, otra rareza.

Hola Don Uro, yo también tengo las crónicas de Froissat, pero la edición de Penguin, espero entrarle un poco en algún momento, no he visto la edición en español, ¿existe?

El mundo del Cid de Simon Barton, Richard A. Fletcher, se puede leer en google books,

Existe Guayo, aunque es una lástima que no aproveche la obra para ediciones en castellano sobre la época que trata.

Sinceramente, aparte de las enormes ( bajo todos los aspectos ) biografías de Luis Suárez, el panorama bibliográfico anda algo deprimido. Lo último que recuerdo de cierto interés es el libro "Técnicas Bélicas del Mundo Medieval", muy interesante, pero que en ningún caso sustituye a una obra genérica sobre la época.
