Tentado está uno de comprar la edición inglesa en Amazon por poco más de 20 € (más los gastos de envío).

En la edición en ingles son 1192 paginas, de donde salen esas 400 paginas de mas?

Entre la traducción (el castellano no es tan funcional como el inglés en cuanto a abreviaturas, expresiones y frases hechas, subordinadas, circunloquios, etc.), el tamaño de letra, la caja y los márgenes, las notas y los índices (que en las ediciones inglesas suelen tener una letra más pequeña,... pues salen, ¡vaya si salen!

Desde luego, lo de aprender inglés, aunque sea para leer, ya no es cuestión de vida o muerte, sino de seguir solvente o acabar en la maldita ruina...

Supongo que el librillo traerá algo de nuevo (en investigación histórica, enfoque, datos, etc) que justifique el desembolso, sobre todo para un lector medio de historia y de longeva trayectoria...

No lo tengo, desde que salio el año pasado lo tengo en mi lista de posibles compras pero en la pagina de la editorial Princeton colgaron el indice en ingles, el cual copio con todo gusto.

Qué libro más interesante me habéis descubierto. En la página de Crítica pone que lo sacan en noviembre y he pensado que no me vendría nada mal hacer una relectura a la trilogía del siglo XIX de Hobswaum para desempolvar el siglo XIX.
